This charming antique, Victorian coral snake ring is a real beauty.
Coils of rich, buttery yellow gold form the body of this handsome happy snake and he is coiled around a vibrant rich red coral cabochon.
The snake has been later mounted on a Victorian 22ct gold band.
This is a beautiful ring, exceptionally well designed and one of a kind being a conversion piece.
Snakes in jewellery were catapulted into popularity when Queen Victoria received a snake ring from her beloved Albert but have been adorning jewels for thousands of years.

Band Fully hallmarked for 22ct gold, Victorian era, Birmingham assay office, 1869, snake mount tests as 18ct, Victorian era.
